| Florence is the capital of Tuscany. It is an ideal walking city, with many of the main attractions situated close to one another. Visitors to Florence will be delighted by the cultural and historical impact of the city from the stunning marble façade of the Piazza del Duomo to the Uffizi Gallery. The famous 14th-century bridge is lined with shops selling gold and silver jewellery, but was once lined with butchers shops. One of the most visited sites in Florence is the Pitti Palace.
