| Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and is also the capital of Catalonia. Barri Gótic, the old town district known as the Gothic Quarter, occupies what was formerly an ancient fortified Roman village. A visit to the Antoni Gaudi collection at Casa Museu Gaudi is also recommened. Güell park, designed by Antonio Gaudí is the most famous park in Barcelona and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
